Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
